Henry and I will be highlighting the achievements of 2 special HERO’s on these days. Come by and meet them, and thank them for a job well done. We of course will be following all safety guidelines as well.

I have enjoyed working with Henry at the Chicago Industrial Design Center in Chicago. We are taking Welding and Metal foraging and I have fallen in love with the Plasma cutter. Using Fire as my paintbrush has been pretty cool. I decided to combine my two favorite mediums to make some pretty cool art. The metal hearts are attached with magnets. Decide you want to move your heart to a new place, do it. Then it becomes YOUR Art. We chose February to celebrate the heart. ” Our hearts are amazing. They love, they break. They are individual. Yours is far different than anyone else’s. it beats to its own course. It’s mourned, it’s had joy, it’s fluttered and raced It’s been crushed and shattered but yet has bursted with pride. Our Hearts are raw and strong but never waiver. They follow the path we set for them until they no longer can. “

18 Months Seizure Free and Going Strong!

Our Kitchen Island Gang were all celebrating this morning with Henry and some cake in recognition of a number we have not hit with no seizures in a very long time. Our HEROES have a little time off this winter, and I picked up some work doing a painting a day in November in recognition of Epilepsy Awareness Month. My challenge is complete and most of my work that didn’t sell through social media is on our art page, just click the Art For Heroes button for I upload often. I am available for commissions on any scale and all are 100% tax deductible. I love a challenge so feel free to reach out! We are looking forward to a fantastic 2021 with the pandemic in our rear view mirror and some exciting fundraisers planned! So stay tuned and have a safe Holiday season! Nancy and Crew!

We Flipped the Page on Epilepsy!

Before the world changed, we did some good at the awesome Book Stall in Winnetka. We raised a lot of funds for research and support programs, and also collected a few boxes for the kids at Lurie Children’s!

Thank you for your support!

We had a great event at The Book Stall, and are thankful for all who worked for us baking, working the event, those who stopped by, or donated online! Until our next event I will be doing a lot of painting and update our Art Page often! Check it out below right, the ART FOR HEROES tab near the picture of me painting will take you right to it!

We are going to buckle down and stay safe like all of you and we wish all of you health and safety in the coming weeks. If you happen to shop Amazon you can continue to support us by shopping Amazon Smile and choosing us as your charity! Our next event is outside July 17,18th at the Winnetka Sidewalk Sale on Lincoln Street with our favorite shop Optique!

Why Donate to Epilepsy???

By, Henry Iida

I think people should donate money to Epilepsy. If we donate enough money we would find a cure and be free. People with Epilepsy won’t have to deal with space outs and pills. During a space out, my brain stops working for a few seconds and I pause in a conversation. If I was riding my bike, I could fall off. If I didn’t have space outs, I wouldn’t get stuck in a conversation or fall off my bike. Give money to Epilepsy so I don’t get hurt.

Scientists can use the money to study Epilepsy. The scientists look at your brain. They are looking for what causes Epilepsy. Then could stop Epilepsy and find a cure.
