Giving a HERO High Five to Grace Melancon and George Baillos! Meet two of our Ambassadors this weekend and see why they like to do what they do!
“I have grown up with Henry and I’ve known him most of my life. I began to see my friend Henry struggle with epilepsy. I saw first hand the serious impact epilepsy has on someone and the people around them. Watching him go through this upset me, and I wanted to do whatever I could to help Henry. Henry’s heroes has shown me that when people come together they can make a huge impact. It is so rewarding to help support Henry and do my part to help fight epilepsy. The Henry’s heroes foundation has taken an unideal situation and turned it into something wonderful. I am so grateful to be a part of it and work with some amazing people.”
“Being a HERO is important to me because it allows me to make actual change in the world while supporting my friend Henry.”

“I’ve known Henry since elementary school, and he was always a good friend to me. It always seemed unfair that Henry couldn’t do everything I could, even small things like going over to someone else’s house or playing sports because of his Epilepsy. This motivated me to become part of Henry’s Heroes and I am super excited to be an ambassador.” ~ Jack Hales

”Kintsugi is the Japanese Art of putting broken pieces of pottery together with gold. Kintsugi reminds us that our scars, visible or invisible are proof that you have overcome difficulties. By marking your history, they demonstrate you’ve survived and enrich your soul.
Head to our New home base, Friday and Saturday, December 3,4th from 11 to 4 and Sunday from 10 to 4 for our Kintsugi Trunk show. Nancy has been working hard in the welding studio creating one of a kind pieces recognizing the Japanese art of Kintsugi. One of our favorite Heroes Callie will be with me on Saturday, we so appreciate all her help over the years raising awareness and funds for Epilepsy and we could not be more proud of her. “Henry has been my friend as long as I can remember. We used to sword-fight and play hide and seek in the basement for hours on end. When he began having seizures, I remember being really sad for my friend. I wanted to help him, and Heroes has created that opportunity. Heroes has been an incredible part of my life, and I’ve been honored to join Henry and the rest of the heroes on this journey. We’ve put up an amazing fight against the epilepsy monster so far, and I can’t wait to see the impact we make going forward!” ~ Callie Lloyd- Jones
